Thijmen is currently completing his master’s degree in International Migration and Refugee Law & the master Philosophy of Law and Governance at the VU in Amsterdam. He is writing his thesis on trans and queer asylum seekers and the associated legal problems in the proceedings. "Next academic year I want to start working as a lawyer. My ambition is to find creative solutions in legal issues, using the knowledge I have in law and philosophy" says Thijmen.
